SAN (Styrene-Acrylonitrile Copolymer), also known as AS, is a material that combines high rigidity, excellent heat resistance, and transparency.

  1. Compared to traditional polystyrene (PS), SAN exhibits superior oil resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and stress crack resistance.

  2. Its elastic modulus is among the higher levels of existing thermoplastic materials, and it has excellent transparency.

Thermal Performance and Geometric Stability:

  1. SAN has a Vicat softening temperature of approximately 110°C and a flexural deformation temperature under load of about 100°C, providing excellent geometric stability and heat deformation resistance.
  2. When glass fiber reinforcements are added, the strength and heat deformation resistance of SAN are significantly improved, and the thermal expansion coefficient is reduced.
  3. The shrinkage rate ranges from 0.3% to 0.7%, demonstrating excellent dimensional stability.

Chemical and Thermal Stability:

  1. The styrene component imparts high hardness and transparency to the material, making it easy to process.
  2. The acrylonitrile component provides outstanding chemical and thermal stability.

Application Areas:

  1. In industrial and commercial fields, particularly in fan products, SAN glass fiber-reinforced composites are widely used in the production of commercial and industrial-grade fans.
  2. These materials can withstand high loads and maintain dimensional stability under high-temperature conditions, making them ideal for manufacturing fan blades, housings, and other critical components.
